Terms
Last updated 30 October 2026
These terms are between HFL SRL, [registered address], Romania, [registration number, CUI] ("we"), and the church that creates a Sermon Live account ("the church"). The person who creates the account accepts them for the church.
1. The service
Sermon Live translates a church's sermon live by machine and sends the translation as text and speech to listeners' phones. It has a page for the church, an operator page to run the translation, and a listener page.
2. The account
- Give correct details and keep your sign-in safe.
- The church is responsible for the people it lets use its account and operator page.
3. Machine translation
The translation is made automatically. It can be wrong, incomplete or late, and it is not an interpreter's word-for-word rendering. Do not rely on it where precision matters, such as safety announcements or legal or medical matters. What is said in the service remains the church's responsibility.
4. What the church agrees to
- It may translate and transmit the sermons it sends to Sermon Live.
- It tells the people in the service that the sermon is translated by machine through Sermon Live, for example on the sign with the QR code.
- It does not use the service for anything unlawful, does not overload or attack it, and does not resell it.
5. Free time and prices
A new church gets 3 hours of translation free. After that, starting a translation is not possible until paid plans exist. We will announce prices at least 30 days before they apply, and never charge without the church's agreement.
6. Availability
We work to keep Sermon Live reliable, but it depends on the internet and on other providers, so we cannot promise it will always work without interruption.
7. The church's data
Our privacy policy explains what we keep and for how long. For the sermon's sound and text we act on the church's behalf (as its processor under the GDPR), and we:
- use them only to provide the service, on the church's instructions;
- keep them confidential and secure, and limit who can reach them;
- use only the providers named in the privacy policy, and tell the church before adding or replacing one;
- help the church answer requests from people about their data;
- delete them 30 days after each service, and everything else within 30 days after the account is closed;
- tell the church without undue delay if its data is ever exposed;
- give the church the information it needs to show it uses us lawfully.
The church's sermons, translations and glossary remain the church's.
8. Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for mistakes in translations, and our total liability is limited to what the church paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
9. Ending
The church can close its account at any time by writing to [contact email]. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms. After closing, the church's data is deleted within 30 days, except what the law requires us to keep, such as invoices.
10. Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we tell each church's admin by email at least 30 days before they apply.
11. Law
Romanian law applies. Disputes go to the courts of [city].
